Horses can surprisinly make it even to
Concordia, they are mostly used for supplying army camps. |

Concordia, this was our first night on
the outskirts of standard travel agency campsite. And although we
sucessfully passed army camp 15mins down, the army officer was by
chance here (probably other guides called him on us). We fortunatelly
got away with the excuse that we were with company XYZ and our guide
was 2 days behind us with sick client. |

Gasherbrum basecamp, so we did not want to risk problems when finally
being here. |
After one day of raining at Concordia, we
gave up day trip to K2 basecamp and took advantage of good weather and
got away from agencies/soldiers/guides very early in the morning ...
for sure. |

Ali camp. Some people stay here, who call themselves Hushe Rescue Team. They go every morning to the pass (but quickly, not as your guides), stay there untill all groups are over and maintain fixed ropes. They charge compulsory fee about 20 USD in Ali. |
Upper Vigne glacier, Gondogoro pass is in
th middle of the left ridge. Most people walk this way in the night. I
wanted to be able to locate the pass by myself so I had walked up to
it's base the day before. |
